The Art of Oncology - A decade's contribution and experience of the BCIRG in changing the breast cancer paradigm

_____________________________________

Following the merge of CIRG and TORI late 2005, they are now officially incorporated in a new structure named:

TRIO
Translational Research In Oncology

CIRG and TORI are respectively keeping their activities and names and as such, are divisions of the new group TRIO.

The aim of this new group is to further the objective of bringing rational and innovative therapeutic concepts into the clinical trial setting.
  • Translate preclinical findings into clinical research
  • Use translational  approaches based on the underlying biology of the disease
  • Conduct innovative clinical research across all phases of drug development and multiple disease sites

For more details on this new structure please access  to the newly website: http://www.trioncology.org

TORI  (founded by Dr Dennis Slamon) is an oncology research network linked to several basic research laboratories which evaluate new therapeutic molecules.
TORI labs uses molecularly characterized models of various human malignancies to study new agents to guide the design of Phase I and Phase II Clinical Studies.
Once leading compounds are ready for larger studies, CIRG and its proven network of committed investigators can perform these larger translational trials.
